Pedro Johnson is a writer from Vancouver, BC. At age seventeen he completed his first book, The Tyrfung Saga, a narrative poem which explored ancient Germanic language and mythology, by imagining a continuation to the Old English epic, Beowulf. After high school, he attended the University of British Columbia where he specialized in Ancient Greek language, literature, and translation. His love and fascination for ancient texts contributes enormously to his poetry. He has written in English, German, and Ancient Greek, engaging in artistic collaborations with musicians all over the world as sole lyricist behind the contemporary folk collective, the Ears of Grain.
